On shooting her new video in Cuba:

”Cuba is just so colourful, it was the perfect place to shoot my video. It just felt like such a pure place and with this video we just wanted a beautiful setting and something that really reflected the song and that was Havana.”

”For the kind of look for the video, i did the styling myself, we couldn’t take the stylist out with us but we totally made it work. I took a bunch of my own clothes and I kind of felt a that with this video i didn’t want it to be too much like it’s all about the outfit.”

On where she likes to shop:

”Topshop’s new Spring/Summer collection is like black, white and gold and it’s very 90′s and just right up my street so i love that and the Boutique in Topshop is always good because you’ve got those higher-end designer bits and it’s still a good price.”

On maintaining personal relationships:

”It is hard you’know but luckily i have friends that understand but obviously there’s friends that don’t and i’m sure a lot of other artists can tell you that not everyone can deal with it. I might not speak to them [friends] for six months but when we see each other we always go back to the way we were … Personal relationships are just the most difficult things in the world, i’ve given up! i’ll be a spinster with some cats (laughs).”

”I think it’s important that when you do have time, you divide your time and make sure you get a little bit of you time but make sure you don’t neglect the people around you.”

On her outfit choices when performing:

”With a lot of my shows it’s me [styling myself], I’ve found through experiences, I like feeling comfortable on stage, i don’t like feeling like a little dolly. I hate stilettos i can’t wear them, I love wedges, i need to feel like i can run from this stage to that stage. When i just feel a bit more comfortable and laid back that’s when i give my best performance.”

On her Julien McDonald x Melissa Odabash MOBO dress:

”I loved that dress, the dress was so amazing and it felt really effortless to wear, i got to wear it with a gorgeous pair of Nicholas Kirkwood heels and it just felt really comfortable to wear and be in …”
