Runway Report: BCBG Maxazria A/W’12
BCBG Maxazria A/W’12
As New York Fashion Week begins so does a whole new sea of trends, shapes and everything else as designers BCBG Maxazria (makers of Herve Leger), Richard Chai, Honor and Nicholas K all showed us a glimpse of what should be in our Autumn/Winter wardrobes. Earlier today, we saw Maxazria re-interpret colour blocking, introducing this Spring/Summer trend into A/W in the form of calf-length silk dresses alongside sheer shirts, patchwork trench coats and FUR worked into the collection in every and any way possible.
Speaking on the ”Fall woman” Max Azria said to MTV Style: “She is a woman who is evolving..The line of the dress is a little longer, and that brings something fresh and new. It’s very feminine.” In our opinion, parts of the collection did look a little Spring/Summer-like with the silk skirts against bare legs, the focus on geometric shapes and the neutral colour palettes and some of their prints were a little reminiscent of their S/S’12 collection but hey, it seemed to work for them. A star-studded front row included Maybelline model Jessica White and designer/ all-round fabulous gal Angela Simmons. Check out some of the pics below!
